US and Canadian gold-seeking companies feature in unsolicited messages advertising investment opportunities

Whether this is the result of the harshening financial conditions in the current economic turmoil or just the latest finding of spammers, it looks like these days' favorite is gold.

An interesting aspect is the effort these people invested in the content posted on their Web sites advertising the fabulous discoveries and the prospect of getting rich by buying their shares.

Just out of curiosity, I clicked the Investor Presentation and received a 20 MB PowePoint document holding 36 slides, which tell the story of this company success and entice the reader to invest.

A word of advice - don't! The rule of thumb when it comes to spam is to not let yourself bewildered by tempting offers, no matter how good they be, unless you want to end up completely bankrupt. If you really want to make some money, you should probably consider taking a(nother) job!
