Bogdan Botezatu

Bogdan is an unusual combination of journalist by education, OOP programmer by vocation and reverse engineer by self-education. Before joining BitDefender in May 2008, Bogdan has worked at Softpedia, one of the largest news and download portals in the world, where he took care of hardware reviews.

The first contact with the computer world took place in April 1994, when the 11-year old Bogdan discovered the magical world of the 8-bit Sinclair ZX Spectrum computers and the intricacies of the assembler language. During the Internet boom, Bogdan coordinated the Romanian community of PHP-Nuke users and oversaw the localization process for some of the most popular content management systems in the world, such as e107, Mambo, and PHP-Nuke.
